Child's teeth didn't grow in???

My child is 5 years old and all but one baby teeth has grown in. Almost all of his baby teeth have actually almost fallen out. I didn't know if this was normal, i read online that all of his baby teeth should be grown in my 4 but can not find anything about teeth not growing in... Any body have this happen, is this normal or should we be concerned that his adult teeth will not grow in?

Child's teeth didn't grow in???
Wait you said his baby teeth didn't grow in then you said they almost all fell out? Did you mean that his baby teeth grew in %26amp; they all fell out %26amp; You are waiting for his permanent set to grow in?

Do you take the child to the Dentist? I would call them if you are concerned.
Reply:I'll be 29 in July and I still have 2 baby teeth. There were no adult teeth that developed under them. My mom didn't have wisdom teeth on the bottom. So it is something that happens that a person does not develop a tooth. His dentist should be able to do an X-ray to determine what is going on under the surface and if any measures need to be taken.
Reply:Has the dentist said anything? I'd assume at his annual check-ups he'd talk to you about this if it were an issue.

I found this site that talks about missing teeth and the causes of it. It's a rather technical read, but you can always google any of the terminology that you don't understand if needed. good luck.
Reply:By age 5 your son should have had at least 8 dental appointments.

Baby teeth hold space for the adult teeth and help with chewing and speaking.
Reply:take him to the dentist both my litle brothers are missing baby teeth and adult teeth under some of their baby teeth:( one is 4 and one is 10- the dentist will give you some options
Reply:he should see a dentist if you are concerned!

  1. I'm 11 years old and I recently lost a moler...
It was very loose for about 2 months and when it finally fell out, it took another 3 weeks for an adult tooth to show and for the last 3 months it hasnt grown out at all. I went to the dentist and they cut the gums so it could come out, but it never did...So I don't know, but kids shouldn't start to loose teeth until they are
6-7, and they should be atleast 10-13 before the loose them all and have all 32 teeth. Otherwise they never will or they will be very very delayed.
