i was at basket ball practice and i got and elbow to the mouth and it knock my front adult tooth back and i push it back in place but now its loose and i dont want to lose my front tooth
I have a loose adult tooth what do i do? should i get braces?
Braces don't keep your teeth in,,,they just straighten your teeth. If your tooth is loose, then I would go to a dentist to check it out. If it's too loose, they'll probably just pull it and put a fake one in. Getting teeth pulled isn't that painful, im 15 years old and I got 4 teeth pulled in one day, and I didnt' feel any pain, just a little bit of pressure.
Reply:Go to the dentist! Ask them!
Reply:DON'T wiggle it anymore. First thing in the morning, call your dentist, or any dentist, and explain what happened. You won't need an orthodontist (braces). Hopefully they will be able to see you within a day or two and let you know what your options are. Some of which may be: bracing it from behind, they may suggest removing it and replacing it with a flipper, a bridge or an implant, or they may even just watch it and see if it tightens up on its own. My guess is that even if it would tighten up on it's own, you may still need a root canal to keep it from getting infected.
If it would have come out, the best thing you could do is place the tooth in milk until you could see a dentist.
Reply:you should consider going to the dentist to have it checked out
