Adult tooth, will it ever come down?

I recently had braces put on. In the beginning processes, i had a baby tooth removed where my adult canine was suppose to be ... it is still in my gums. My orthodontist did not believe that my adult tooth is compacted and believes that it will come down once my teeth start moving around.

Does anybody know how long that will take? Or If that will even happen?

I know if it doesn%26#039;t what an oral surgeon does, but i%26#039;m really hoping i dont have to have oral surgery again!

Adult tooth, will it ever come down?
it depends on the canine postion in the bone ( panoramic x-ray almost shows that)

If it was in a vertical position and in the good place for eruption it will go down so just wish that
Reply:i dont know, i should come down on its own...i didnt lose my last baby tooth until i was 21 and still it took a while for the adult one to come down. it was probabaly a month before it was down most of the way.
Reply:If it comes it comes, if it not.... say hello to my little friend!!!! the knife!
Reply:it is doubtful that it will errupt - your best bet is to see an oral surgeon to have them expose the tooth and attach something to help the orthodontist move it into position. Yes, it is possible and it does work.
