Would wobbly teeth put a dog off eating???

my shih tzu has been off her food, and when i took her to the vet, and the dog has 2 baby teet that are still attached to her gums but her adult teeth are in the right place. The teeth are coming out tomorrow, but would the wobbly teeth put her off eating??

Would wobbly teeth put a dog off eating???
I would think so...it probably isn't very comfortable for her w/ her teeth not being very secure...
Reply:It can. It depends on the position of the teeth and how loose they are. Sometimes food can also get caught in between the adult and baby teeth and cause some pain. Hopefully she'll be eating better when they're out.
Reply:Probably, the teeth are sore I would imagine, think about it, if you had loose teeth and had to eat hard food it would hurt and make you not want to eat.

You might offer her some of her food after you soaked it in warm water to soften.
Reply:Yes, of course. If you had wobbly teeth which most likely would cause some degree of discomfort while you ate, wouldn't you rather not bother with a meal.

You'll better know what to think after the baby teeth come out tomorrow.
Reply:Probably not if they are deciduous (baby) teeth. But it is possible that some bleeding from those baby teeth could cause gastrointestinal irritation, and that could cause your dog to be inappetent. I would wait and see how she does after the deciduous teeth are extracted.
