my son take a pacifier and his teeth are like the shape of the pacifier like his tooth don't meet in the middle only on the side... since they are his baby teeth will his adult teeth be like that too????????? thanks in advanse
My 21months old teeth??
It's not a problem, but you should be getting rid of the pacifier soon. His adult teeth should grow in straight if there is enough room on his jaw. Mine was small so my teeth were very crooked and I had 4 years of braces.
Reply:really not sure
I wouldn't panic
Reply:No, they won't... my son had a pacifier til he was 3 yrs old (i know, way too old to have one) and his teeth stuck out a bit from having his nuk all the time. Once he stopped having his nuk, they started to go back to normal... now he's 8 yrs old and you would never know that he had one.
Reply:he is old enough to see a dentist, take him
Reply:Depends on the dentist as to how they respond. Basically, at 21 mons old, don't worry.
Once he reaches 4 that's when to really break him of it. I say that's too old, but coming from how/when the teeth form, that's the latest.
Reply:my granddaughter sucks her thumb and her teeth are shaped right around her thumb too! At least you can take a pacifier away - maybe there's hope. Orthodonture is definitely in my granddaughter's future~!
