Teeth falling out?

I have just noticed that 2 of my puppys bottom teeth have either fallen out or broken off. She is 5 months old. Does this mean she is gettign adult teeth or has she been chewing on something to make them break?

Teeth falling out?
Awwww, She's just losing her puppy teeth. If you're lucky, you might even find one or two. Usually they get swallowed with no harm done.

Dogs have 28 deciduous (temporary) teeth and 42 permanent teeth. Puppies have no teeth at birth, and grow deciduous teeth beginning their second week of life.

At three months of age, the deciduous teeth begin to be replaced by the permanent teeth.

The replacement process begins with the incisors, and moves backwards through the canines, premolars and finally the molars. The turnover process is usually complete by the time the dog is eight months old, with none of the original 28 deciduous teeth remaining.

Most deciduous teeth are swallowed with food and never seen by the pet owner. Occasionally a deciduous tooth is merely pushed to the side and retained next to the permanent tooth. Retained deciduous teeth can be removed by a veterinarian.

The incisors turn over from deciduous to permanent from two to four months of age. The canines usually convert around six months of age. The premolars and molars follow in that order, with the last permanent molar erupting around eight months of age.

The exact schedule does vary from breed to breed.
Reply:She is probably losing her baby teeth. Normally dogs swallow their teeth when they lose them. So you may not notice them around the house. She should lose her canines last, and those normally fall out at about 6 months. Have fun with your pup. Don't forget to get her fully vaccinated and spayed! Good luck
Reply:Pups teeth fall out just like with a human baby. Perfectly normal.
Reply:I would consult your vet about the broken teeth, as that is unusual. But she is at the right age for getting her adult teeth. Are you sure you aren't seeing part of the adult tooth growing in and mistaking it a s a broken tooth?
Reply:puppies teeth fall out just like kids they will come back dont worry
Reply:She's just teething :) She's going to be fine, take a sock and wet it, then freeze the sock. Once it is completely frozen let her chew on it till it thaws then do it again. Cheap teether ;)
Reply:normal loss of baby teeth, but chewing (teething) on toys could help them to come out. No need to worry.
Reply:she is losing her baby teeth.you shouldn't worry.it usually happens during 5 months to about 10 months.
Reply:she is getting her adult teeth, its normal, they start getting them at 5 months old
Reply:Im not a vet or nothing and obviously thats the only way to know for sure. But, I do know that dogs usually loose their baby teeth at around 6 months so that would be my guess.
