Milk teeth?

1) By what age should all of the *MILK* teeth be in and 2) does the fact that some milk teeth are missing imply that the adult teeth will also be missing in those same spots down the line? Thanks!

Milk teeth?
a dogs adult teeth are usually in between 6-8 months of age. and it does not necessarily mean that just because some of the deciduous teeth are missing that the adult teeth will be missing.

add- adult incisors (front teeth) do not usually start coming in until 4 months of age so not to worry about your little one.
Reply:dogs only kinda star getting their milk teeth about six weeks.i wouldn't worry about some of them being missing it doesn;t mean they wont have a full set of choppers when their older.i'v a three year old boxer who still has some milk teeth so dont worry about it.
Reply:they userally have their baby teeth by the time they are ready to leave the mom and their new set at around 6mths. my poochi is 8 mts and still has a few baby teeth next to the new ones and when i have him altered i will have them removed since they are still pretty tight in there. he has a few spots where there are no new teeth but they still might come in. he can still do a lot of damage and i have no slippers left, soles and all, along with chair legs.socks runners etc. lol
Reply:Baby teeth are in by seven or eight weeks. Shih tzus don't always have the best dentition, so I'm not surprised that her incisors are "hidden" in her gums. This isn't necessarily an indication that she won't have all of her adult teeth.
