Has anyone ever heard of or had any dealings with newborn babies with teeth? My son was born with ridges on his gums. At 6 days old, he had his first tooth. Now, it is very loose. I am calling the Pediatrician tomorrow to see what needs to be done. Will another baby tooth come in when he starts teething? Or will he just have a gap there until hid adult teeth come in? I have lots and lots of questions in referance to this. Please, anyone with any information, please inform me. Thanks!

My god daughter was born the same way. She got her first tooth at 2 weeks old and then another 3 weeks later. I would not be concerned about that. Howerver the tooth being loose. I would call the pedi right away.

Could be normal but he could also have an extra set of teeth(rarely all). I guess only time will tell.

My daughters teeth are erupting very far apart....?
My daughter is almost 9 months old and has 4 teeth erupting at once 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom.they are pretty far apart they almost look like her lateral incisors.i found info that says when baby teeth come in farther apart theres a better chance her adult teeth will be straight.
My question is... Did your childs teeth come in far apart?

Yes, my sons were far apart. He's 6 and has great looking baby teeth.
Yea also for my daughter. She's 10 months and she has the two bottom teeth. They are far also.

How can I fix my gappy teeth?
I have HUGE gaps between all my teeth and I mean HUGE lol. I've hated them all my life. My teeth are also fairly small and many of them are baby teeth which will not fall out because I am missing the adult teeth that would push them out. I am 15 years old. I reaaaaally would love to have a nice smile and be able to laugh without worrying about what other people think of my gappy teeth. I have looked all over the internet to see if there is anything which would be suitable. All i found were invisalign braces, lumineers and veneers. I thought maybe i could have invisalign braces for a bit to get my teeth a bit closer together which would mean i could get lumineers and they wouldnt be too wide or anything. I also have an overbite but it has never been sorted out. Plz help me. Im almost always thinking about how horrible my teeth are :( Anyone who has some advice or is a dentist who could maybe tell me what to do, I would appreciate it SO much :)

Invisalign braces are more expensive than regular ones, but you should talk to an othodontist in your area

Cuz if you live in the UK, you get dental treatment for free if your under 16 via the NHS (national health service). I had an overbite, I've had braces since January 07, my teeth look VERY different, I really can't wait till i get them off (which should be in around August this year) But one thing though, braces are an immense pain to have, you do get used to it, but when they are tightened at every visit, you have to live off soup, mashed food and soggy vegetables for a week or so. Eurgh!

Do all teeth fall out for puppies?
my puppy is 5 months old and recently had an accident knocking one of his back teeth out. he is fine and the vet has checked him out, but i am wondering whether an adult tooth or puppy tooth was knocked out? or if some teeth do not come out at all?

Sounds like a molars fell out! He should grow another to replace the one that was kocked out.

If you keep the puppy on a good diet they keep there teeth longer, They make a toy they can chew and that keep there teeth clean Their diet is important too, don't feed them human food or soft food, it gets up into there gum and can't get it out. Retained deciduous teeth?
Once again, I'm having an issue with my newly adopted 1.5 yr old pomeranian. When I came home, the right side of her face was swollen. I inspected her and found what appeared to be a loose tooth. I did some research on the internet.. and found out that it was a retained deciduous (baby) tooth. Luckily there is only one. I'm wondering, since the tooth is so loose, if I should just leave it be or have it removed. Apparenly this should have been done around 6-8 months when the adult teeth came in, but I don't think her initial owner took much care of her.

I'm getting a tooth extraction of two baby-teeth?
I'd like to know two things:
1. I have been reading on answers that some people, when they get their teeth extracted there is a little piece of the tooth left in their gums because the root was broken. Can that possibly happen to me, when they are extracting baby teeth, or can that only happen with adult teeth?
2. When they give you a shot to numb your gums, where exactly do they apply the shot and how much does it hurt?
Please give me some tips before I get theme extracted, I'm kind of scared.

For this reason, baby teeth are usually very easy to remove. Before you have an injection (shot) you usually get a numbing gel put on the area first and you should feel almost nothing. You will get a miniscule dose of anesthesia due them extracting baby teeth. You will be in very capable hands so try to relax, maybe wear your IPod or hold someone's hand. Hope this helps!

The injection is to numb your tooth so u wont feel it when it is getting pulled out. The baby teeth that will be removed will help the peremant teeth grow.
You may not be able to eat for 3 hours later until the injection wears off but it is nothing to be worried about.
