I have had a gap between my teeth ever since I got my adult teeth, will it ever go away?

My gap isnt huge, but it%26#039;s enough to notice. and i hate it! My parents will not pay for braces or vaneers, cuz my dad loves it. My brothers had them, but they closed up, but my grandma had one, and it never did. what are my chances of my two front teeth coming together? Oh yeah, im 14. I have really straight nice teeth but thats the only problem. I know it would only take about 8-10 months for them to close, but is there somthing the dentist can do in the office? Please help!

My mom has a gap in between her two front teeth on the bottom and it has never gone away and she never did any dental work. So if your adult teeth are still in it may or may not it just depends on whether your jaw space. If your teeth are squish together and there is no room than it will stay that way but if it has room for movement than it will possibly go away.
Reply:You should just pop past a dentists office and ask, I%26#039;m sure they%26#039;d be happy to let you know. They wouldn%26#039;t say they will repair it if they will close up because then the teeth would push eachother.
Reply:I recommend the braces it will only get worst i had braces for 2 years and never wore my retainers and my teeth are back to what they were before i got the braces. Your teeth never stop moving

SINCE YOUR DAD WILL NOT PAY FOR IT, MAY I SUGGEST SAVING YOUR ALLOWANCE AND START BABY SITTING!!! (ALOT) I WAS JUST TALKING TO MY DOC ABOUT GETTING VANEERS AND THEY ARE NOT COVERED BY THE INSURANCE AND RAN SOMEWHERE BETWEEN $600-$700.00 (EACH) YOU WILL NEED TWO!!!!! IF YOUR WISDOME TEETH ARE NOT OUT YET, THEN, YOU MAY BE IN LUCK... WHEN THEY COME OUT THEY MAY PUSH THE TEETH TOGETHER AND CLOSE YOUR GAP. (SOMETIMES A GAP CAN BE SEXY) GOOD LUCK!.. IN WHAT THE OTHER GUY SAID.......ONCE ALL YOR TEETH ARE IN, THEY WILL NOT MOVE.... ALSO SOMETHING JUST TOLD TO ME BY MY DENTIST!!!
Reply:Gaps run in my families teeth. I%26#039;ve never known of one to close up on their own. Surely if you persistently entreat your dad he will get you some braces. It really doesn%26#039;t matter if he thinks it%26#039;s cute and you don%26#039;t. It%26#039;s your mouth.If you just can%26#039;t get him to put braces on your teeth the only thing you can do is get them for yourself when you are old enough to make your own money. Reply:there is no way that it will go away by itself. you dont have to get braces, you can get retainers or invisalign. but there is nothing the dentist can do in one sitting to permanently correct the gap. sorry and good luck!
